Dolly Parton Skips Dollywood Ride Opening Amid Health Problems

Dolly Parton was forced to skip the grand opening of the "NightFlight Expedition" at her Dollywood theme park on Friday due to ongoing health issues.  

During the ceremony for the new ride, a pre-recorded video of the 80-year-old country superstar was shown with her saying she had been feeling dizzy and dehydrated, with her doctor advising her against traveling to the opening. Parton canceled her Las Vegas residency in May, which had been rescheduled for September, after she was originally slated to perform six shows at Caesars Palace in December 2025 but postponed them due to "health challenges." 

One of Parton's first major appearances since the health scare was back in March, when she gave the keynote address at Dollywood's 41st anniversary celebration.
