Shaboozey Explains Side-Eye Reaction At AMAs

Saboozey is speaking out about his side-eye reaction during the American Music Awards on Monday night.

As he and Megan Moroney were on stage as presenters, viewers noticed his reaction after Moroney said the Carter Family "basically invented country music." In a comment on Moroney's Instagram page, Shaboozey explained that he wasn't blaming her for the script saying his reaction at the AMA's didn't have anything to do with his fellow country star.

He said he's noticed hateful comments directed at her and that's not what the moment is about, adding Moroney is someone who represents the country community in the highest light."
